A Message from Dave Brown

When I started DF Brown & Associates, I made a pledge to build my company’s reputation on delivering personalized service, attention to detail, and a commitment to results. That was more than 15 years ago.

It is amazing, that even as the world around us continues to change, the fundamental components of a successful search remain the same. Advances in technology make it easier to communicate with clients and find information. But after nearly two decades in business for myself, and 20 years’ previous experience in talent acquisition for Fortune 500 companies, I realize that technology cannot replace the human touch.

No matter how quickly the information flows, the reality is that finding the right person takes understanding of a client’s industry and organization, dedicating time to unearthing and reviewing potential candidates, and a willingness to take on assignments with built-in challenges and hurdles.

Today, my commitment has not changed. I am dedicated to building ongoing relationships with clients, taking a hands-on approach to searches, and finding the best available candidate to fit your business needs.

About President and Managing Director, David Brown

Dave has more than 25 years of business experience in human resources leadership, recruiting, candidate sourcing and selection, and career management. He has been involved in executive staffing and resource management for a range of industries including telecommunications, high technology, electronics, and manufacturing.

Prior to founding DF Brown & Associates, Dave was a top executive for British Telecommunications Plc’s U.S. subsidiary, BT North America Inc. He has substantial international start-up experience and multinational services including Internet and network solutions for both voice and data. Dave held the position of Director of Global Staffing and Employee Relations for BT’s international outsourcing subsidiary with significant operations in Atlanta, London, Paris and Tokyo. He also played key leadership roles with Rockwell International and Air Products and Chemicals.

A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Dave is a member of the Belgian-American Chamber of the South and a member of the World Trade Center – Atlanta, where he previously chaired the Ambassador Committee. He has been a member of Society for Human Resources Management since 1984.

About Vice President, Garrett Brown

With more than 10 years of business experience in recruiting, sales, leadership and technology solutions, Garrett brings with him a tech-related expertise to DF Brown & Associates. After earning an Economics degree from the University of Georgia, Garrett built client relationships and delivery teams supporting contractor staffing and direct hire recruiting across a multitude of industries including Software as a Service (SaaS), Healthcare, Retail, Banking and Finance, and Telecommunications. Prior to joining DF Brown & Associates, he was Managing Director of Elev8 Hire Solutions – which he helped grow an astounding 64% in 2016. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director of national IT staffing company, Diversant – where he was tasked with opening a brand-new Atlanta office. Within two years, he built a staff of 20 employees and an $8.75M revenue run-rate. In addition, Garrett serves as Co-Chair for the TechBridge Digital Ball and sits on the TechBridge Engagement Committee. As a nonprofit that provides technology services to other nonprofits, Garrett has been proud to support TechBridge since 2011.
